The large swimming pool is surrounded by a high fence and has a childproof gate.

The pool itself is covered with a solid roller.

We rarely had to heat the pool, as global warming meant that the sun ususally did the job for us.

In any case the heating had to be turned on at least a week before use without knowing whether the weather would actually be good enough.

This led to extremeley high energy costs , and the pump kept breaking down due to low utilisation.

To avoid energy and repair costs, we decided to stop heating the pool.
